Almost dead

Yeah, almost.

There really isnt anything interesting to blog about lately. Most of my holiday time is spent at home sitting in front of the computer.

Only until recently I've started to actually gain interest in parkour.

We were supposed to have a jam session at KLCC park today but the large group totall attracted attention of the guards which chased us out. It's not like we're doing any illegal things. Sheesh.

Well I'll just stick to training on my own, simple exercises and maneuvers. Maybe find a suitable place to practice outdoors, if its that easy to find.

College starts October 5th. I really can't wait to get back to college. Staying at home is really killing me.

Freedom!

Ahhh, exams for my first year in advanced diploma is finally over. 3 weeks of holiday ahead of me, which will be filled mostly with being bored at home with nothing to do.

Out of the 4 subjects, there was 1 that I have no confidence in passing. The other 3 was easier. Apparently a lot of my classmates are in the same condition as I am.

Well, can't say I didn't try my hardest. I'll just have to wait for the results to be released and find out how did I do.

The next semester probably will have 5 subjects, with one english language (lame) subject. Only interesting subject seems to be filming or whatever. Oh, there is also statistical analysis.

Well, after the second semester comes industrial training aka internship, which I definitely am looking forward to.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy is looking real great on my PSP right now.

Well, I guess I can only keep myself occupied with games. Can't wait for Left 4 Dead 2, Modern Warfare 2 and Starcraft 2. CHOICES! @@

Darn...

I really don't understand why.
I tried so hard, I just cant.
Whatever is the problem with me?

It's just a freaking game. I keep reminding myself of that fact.

Nothing is at stake, I kept telling myself.

Really? For me, it's not.

My pride.

It's growing too large. Trying to control it.

Getting too competitive these days.

*Sigh*

Sage! v2

Ergh, over 2 weeks without a single update.

Fine fine just a simple post. I have been really lazy

Exam is merely 2 weeks away.

Went out with Wenster on both Wednesday and Thursday. Watched The Proposal and Up! together. Both were great!

Wireless modem died, motherboard and/or speakers are failing. Sheesh. It really doesn't matter to me, I just hate to get all the blames whenever its related to the computer. Oh yeah, did I mention charging me for repair/replacement costs?

Also, keeping a tab on how much I spent every month, on a freaking notebook? Seriously?

Recently changed my phone from prepaid to postpaid, no more hassle of asking money for a reload card. Downside? Might just overspend. My 3G settings got messed up too. Gotta find a way to fix this up.

Assignments are finished, exams are near, 4 subjects, yet still feel lazy to study. Grrr.

Happiness in words

Yay~

Went out with Wenster today.

We went to LowYat Plaza. It was only 10.15am, most of the shops aren't even open xD

Luckily, the shop we needed to go was open, she needed to get her Siberia's mic replaced.

Then we went to Pavilion.

Photobucket

Got 2 tickets to GI Joe for free. Thanks sis, couldn't have a better timing. She gave me two of the vouchers only yesterday. Wenster says thanks too =)

Had our breakfast at KFC. Zinger burger! =D
Walked around Parksons, window shopped for soft toys.

GI Joe was great. Worth the price, and a length of over 2 hours of action and a little comedy.

We almost forgot about this:

Photobucket

Yeah, we ate chocolate parfait together at Baskin Robbins =D

Since we had nothing else to do after that, we went to the station. Took the train together with her.

Thank youuuuuu~

Can't wait to see you again =)

Graduation.

It was last Saturday. Until now I've procrastinated.

Wearing the graduation gown sure sucks. It's heavy, it's thick, and it's so hot wearing it.

Got nervous, as we all get 1 name closer to our turn to receive the award.

Looked as natural as possible, for the sake of the photo's. Gotta say I'm pretty impressed.

Where are the photos? I'm too lazy to dig them out of my phone, my dad's cam, and friend's.

Maybe later? =P

The clock struck 12...

...and it's our 3rd month together =)

It has been a quarter year.

Filled with joy,
Fun,
Laughter,
Tears,
Patience,
Strength

Going strong, holding on.

Thank you, for everything you have given me.
Forgive me, for everything I have done that made you sad.
And not being able to be there for you, when you need me.

Get well soon kay? =(

Can't wait to see you again. =)

I have Thursdays off!

Went to MidValley with Wenster today, she brought her friend, Zhi Wye, along. She's a really nice girl.

We watched the movie Obsessed together. Beyonce is in it. It's about a psychopatic girl trying desperately, and using any means necessary to make a happily married man with good income to divorce his wife and be with her. The guy resisted, but she is stubborn and persistent, to the point that she spikes his drink, and creates a misunderstanding. No more spoilers.

The level of drama is pretty good, recommended for everyone, but with such an amount of sexual and violence themes, it's rated 18+

Then we went for lunch at C Jade Express. Zhi Wye is a vegetarian, so whatever meat is in her food, she passed to Wenster, and then to me. =/

After that, we went our seperate ways, Zhi Wye had something to do.

Shopped for bread, doughnuts at Krispy Kreme, tapau at Sushi Zanmai, then looked for book's in Borders and MPH, both to no avail. Decided to go home after that.

Can't wait to see you again~ =)

Blah.

Nothing much has happened the past week.

Just college, eat, sleep, assignments, game and game.

Nothing interesting, just the same old routine.

Next week will be worth looking forward to ^^

First visit!

Visited Petrosains at KLCC today. Went with Wenster ^^.

Sarah was there recently so she went elsewhere while we were inside.

What we did?

Messing with the plasma tubeMaking a masterpieceThermal vision! Reminded me of Metal Gear Solid.Played with the interactive shadow screen. Some kids threw their body on the screenTook a nap at the crew's cabinPower to weight ratio.

Pictures taken by Wenster ^^

There's also this thing. There's a ball in the middle, and you strap your head with a band. By measuring your brain activity, it pushes the ball towards the other side. Basically a tug of war by using, or rather, not using, your brain. Didn't take a picture of that though.

And lots more fun stuff. Had a great time ^^

Can't wait to see you again~ =)

A day of fun and glory eternal

Whew, finally I'm motivated enough to actually put a new post. No I wasn't busy the past few days, I'm just too lazy =P

Well, last Saturday was a blast at the Games and Gadgets event at MidValley Megamall. Filled with fun, joy, laughter, intensity, screams, glory and happiness. My team ended up in second place while team anomaly got champion. To the winner, goes the spoils, the rest went home with no regrets.

Team anomaly will now represent Malaysia and e-Club and play in WCG Singapore TF2 Open Tournament. All the best to you guys, we will be waiting for the champions trophy at home.

I got a new handphone yay =D

Sony Ericsson W595, it's so cool. I wanted a W910i in the beginning but thee sales guy recommended me this, so I got that one instead. It's really great.

Here, enjoy the pictures of what happened last Saturday.

My light shines bright, but some others were stubborn.

Seriously, is it that hard to turn the freaking headlights on while driving in the rain? I mean, I can't see shit through my side and rear mirrors with the fog covering the mirrors and windscreen. I turned mine on, and all it takes was 2 clicks. What goes through fog? Light! I cant believe the amount of inconsiderate people out there. It's raining so hard, I glance through my left side mirror and I can't see anything! Yeah of course I know you can see the front because the front windscreen isn't affected, but I'm trying to change lanes. How am I supposed to do that if I'm practically blind because someone decides that their vision is so good, you don't need lights to go through fog.

Retarded drivers really piss me off. I was turning a corner towards Taman Melati when all of a sudden a Wira decides to be funny and add another lane into the 1 lane corner. I horned for so long, evaded it to the left, to no avail. Ended up knocking my left tyre's on the curb. Stopped immediately to check, found a small dent on the fronnt wheel rim, and scratches on the left side skirt. Oh yeah, my friend who happened to be following me told me, it was a Malay driver. Geez, where do they get their driving license from? The academy of retards?

Bah, enough of my ramblings.

I will be at MidValley tomorrow. There's a games and gadgets event being held at the exhibition centre, and Team Fortress 2 is being hosted by e-club. I will be praticipating, come and join the fun.

Missing: Green Plumbob USB Cover

Yeah, somehow managed to drop it. Now the USB device is left without a rightful cover. I've never felt so upset about losing something. Probably because I like it very much.

Something interesting happened while I was having lunch with my course-turned-classmates earlier today.

We sat outdoors, and parked right beside our table is a pretty aged man, selling some apparels.

What made us unable to take our eyes off him? That is because he dances. Yes, dance, on the street. Not to mention, he has several different outfits for different songs. Probably because that's what he was trying to sell.

I wouldn't say anything about the outfits, but his...dance, is...lame? It's not like he can't dance, I'd say he make a good choreographer if he tried, but those moves are just not for him, or guys.

Some of us just couldn't help laugh. Some others just think he's good, only wrong place at the wrong time.

Is this what you call desperate times calls for desperate measures? I don't know. All I know is that it totally made my day.

Virtual life Simulator = Fun!

I'm now a proud owner of The Sims 3 Collector's Edition. Wenster wanted a copy as well so I helped her get one.

Came with a 2GB plumbob USB drive & carabiner, the USB drive contains wallpapers, music and screensavers, 1000 SimPoints and 2 in-game items ; a sports car and a new town to play in.

Gave it to her yesterday, somehow the plumbob split in half while I was playing with it. Sorry =(

The game? It's awesome. Spent about an hour just creating Sims, and another half an hour trying to furnish a (small) house.

Why this game is a must have? Here's why:

-Unlimited creativity to be explored
-Fully customizable Sims, personalities, houses, etc.
-No loading time while exploring the map
-The Sims Exchange: where you can share and use creations.

Totally worth the RM170. Might post some screenshots later.

By the way, here's a related comic. Click me.

Now if you'll excuse me, my Sim needs to go to work. =D

Sage!

Nothing much has happened lately. Which explains why my blog went dead for some time.

Results coming out on Thursday. So nervous. Have a bad feeling =(

On the bright side, MixFM is having some contest. The caller must describe their "love story" on air, and talks according to the sound effects being played, but it has to have a happy ending.

Winner gets a free candlelit dinner for 2 worth RM200, and a copy of Taylor Swift's album Fearless.

So get calling peeps. The perfect gift for your loved one. Who knows if I might give a call as well xP

Forgive me for my weaknesses.

Love

Going strong.

Bought a cheap webcam that actually works better than my previous logitech one, as well as a Razer Goliathus Omega Control Edition mousepad. Finally a proper gaming mousepad. Hopefully it doesn't get dirty.

Guitar lessons going pretty good. Learning pretty smoothly. I'm just a little lazy to practice =P

Taylor Swift is MixFM's artist of the month =DIt just happened that Love Story plays once I woke up and turned the radio on.

Don't know what else to talk about already. Nothing interesting happened this past week.

It's been a month now, and I'm very happy. =) Do your best for your exams ok? ;]

L4A outing #2

Went out with the group today. First met up with Wendy and Sarah at about 1pm, then we went to Dominos for lunch. After that Sarah decided to find someplace quiet and sit down to study (don't know why), so me and Wendy walked elsewhere =)

Walked to the IT section, had Baskin Robbins (thanks alot) =) and went into the hardware store for the fun of it. Played with the "weapons" inside heheh.

Can't decide on which webcam I should buy, ended up not getting one, sorry =/

Joined Kat at about 3.15pm at Yoshinoya where he's having lunch, then met up with the rest at the cinema just before the movie.

X-Men Origins : Wolverine. My second time watching. I don't mind watching it again, since it's pretty good, and I get to watch together with her, beside me =)

Regrouped with Sarah, Shawn, together with his girlfriend and a friend, which didn't attend the movie, at Chilis. We need to wait half an hour, maybe more, for a table that could accommodate all of us. We decided to switch places.

Food Gardens, at The Gardens. Basically a large food court. The food there is pretty good. We paid our share for the Left 4 Dead game server, enough for a whole year. Ate our food, and talked. We stayed there for more than 2 hours.

8.30pm, and we took a group picture. I followed Wendy and Sarah, then everyone went our seperate ways. After accompanying them to where they get picked up, I went home.

Yeah, I'm glad, and I'm happy. Can't wait for another outing.

Cant wait to see you again =)

When Love Story meets Viva La Vida

The title says it all. Credits to Radkiller who showed me this video.

This as a very amazing piece by Jon Schmidt. Very worth listening, and the mp3 will be provided for free in a couple of weeks at his website http://www.jonschmidt.com. Amazing how you can put 2 songs that has the same rhythm together to make a beautiful piece such as this. Not to mention the dexterity of both of his hands. If you paid close attention, he played the tune of Love Story with right hand and Viva La Vida with his left.

He dedicated this piece to his little daughter who likes the song Love Story. Gotta give him credit, great composer, great player, and a great father.

Staying strong.

It's been 2 weeks =)

Will be going out this Sunday along with the L4A dudes. Pay my share for a game server, purchase a new webcam, probably watching a movie with them.

But what makes this outing a must-go is because I will get to see her again =)

Her exam starts soon, so I won't be able to see her again until at least June.

There is a short break in the middle of her exam, hopefully she can go out then.

Will be going to Malacca for a trip with my college mates this Thursday to Saturday. Details are unconfirmed yet, but rooms should already be reserved. Gotta cancel this week's guitar lesson then =/ Hopefully the tutor will allow me to.

Thanks for bringing joy to my life, and starting my days with a smile. =)

Can't wait till Sunday. =)

Screenshots!

Poor dude, hanged himself, on the door.
Fire? Fire! FIRE!!!!!!
Me, stuck after being punched by a Tank.
We made to the top together...
...and stand on the escape transport victorious, together! =D

Days of playing TF2 and Left 4 Dead with them are always full of fun and laughter. Took me back to when I was playing solely for fun, and not being overly competitive.

You're the best =)

I love this feeling, do you?

So yesterday, I went to Low Yat Plaza to help Wendy's sister, Sarah, find a Siberia Neckband, never imagine that it would cost so much more than the full sized one.

Well, she wanted a neckband, so she bought it anyway, for RM370.

Later, Wendy treated me to lunch ^^ thanks a lot =)

Went to shop for groceries with them afterwards, I've never felt happier while shopping for groceries. She's so sweet =)

Drove them to the station after that, don't know the route to their home so just dropped them off, and we parted ways. They were soaked by the rain =(

Nevertheless, I'm really happy just to see her for a few short hours. I made sure I make the most out of the time, and I'm happy.

Hope to see you again soon k? ^^

Thanks for the cookies too, love it ^^

Lost...

Damn, had a feeling I flunked the second paper today. This makes me feel like "to hell with the last paper".

Its not that it's guaranteed flunked, I did try and answer all the questions, and luckily some of them are correct, though I am not so sure about the explanation, unless they decide not to even look at how I explain things and give me points.

If I really do make it through, then all would be fine. If I don't though, it will be a year of waiting till I can graduate, and I will not know what to do in that time.

I thought I lost hope for the last paper.

Thanks for being supportive, motivating me and put hope back in me. I will work as hard as I can. You're the best =)

The end of a journey, and the beginning of another, for us. =)

Final exam starts tomorrow. Both of my main papers aren't really hard subjects, only real problem is the dumb cultural paper I'm resitting.

I can easily come up with explanation for my main papers, but I'm really not good at memorizing answers for that dumb resit paper. Hopefully I can actually concentrate on studying for that lone paper, it's what worries me the most right now.

After that, I can finally graduate. Have a little break with my friends, and get prepared to continue into Advanced Diploma.

Sis getting married soon, I didn't even know they are engaged until yesterday when they told mom about their wedding plans.

My brother, 9 years my senior, is finally attached. Good for him.

Oh yeah, I'm waiting.

June 24th =)

Physically exhausted

Second guitar lesson was pretty good. My fingers didn't hurt as much, maybe my fingers are already getting thick skinned =/

Learned about notes like a total noob, and 2 extra chords, which are kinda hard.

Apparently I'm learning quickly, that's what he said =/

Stayed at college till around midnight for the past week preparing for a project. After next Tuesday my burden will finally be lifted. At least for now anyway.

Do come and visit me at my college next Tuesday, there will be an Advertising Campaign event at canteen 2 right behind the main gate. There will be games and freebies to be won. From 10am to 4pm.

Challenge.

It's really not as easy as it looks.

Believe me on that, playing the guitar is really not an easy thing to do.

I'm pretty much done with plucking each individual string without using my left hand to do anything. Sounds simple eh?

Well chords are a totally different thing.

Trying to press strings needed to do an open chord is really, really hard. Again, my fingers always touches strings that aren't supposed to be touched, making them sound weird, or totally muted. It could be because my fingers are short, but that's not a valid excuse, really. I just need more practice.

What else?

I've added You're Not Sorry by Taylor Swift into my playlist. Another great song.

Yourguitarsage has videos for both beginners, and individual tutorials for songs. He encourages people not to give up while learning. =)

Wonder when will I be able to reach my goal : to be able to entertain others with my guitar. That would be the biggest accomplishment for me.

Saturday, April 4, 2009

Baby steps.

My first guitar lesson started today. Short, but learned a bunch. Much easier to learn compared to video tutorials.

The tutor is pretty good. Real friendly, talkative and explains things in a manner even a noob like me can understand easily. Though when it comes to business, he has high expectations. Like what he said, I'm learning "serious music".

I'm already shown how to play chords. It feels as if my fingers aren't really long enough, had a pretty hard time trying to get it right. Switching between chords are especially hard, playing a chord without my fingers touching, hence, muting the other strings is problematic. He told me this isn't going to be easy, and this is also why there are more pianist's than guitarist's.

All I need to do is practice, 30 minutes to an hour everyday. The lesson here is, never give up =)

Heroes: do they exist?

Started learning about video editing, only the little basic ones, but that's all we would probably need. As most of the difficult stuffs are made easy thanks to the software itself (talk about taking things for granted eh?).

Finally got my very own Yamaha F-310 acoustic guitar. It's great! Though of course to have a noob owner who cant play it to save himselves must be embarrasing.

Went to Sg. Wang today, asking about lessons. Not that bad, only thing that really bugs me is that I have no other choice but to do it on Saturdays, and a session lasts a mere half an hour long. Bah, I'm sure it'll be worth it. =)

Have to decide what topic to choose from for my TV commercial assignment, and I have less than 2 weeks for shooting and editing. I can either choose to make a commercial about my college's 40th anniversary, or any product of my team's choice. There's just one catch, Broadcasting students are supposed to do the 40th anniversary one, so our work might be compared to theirs. I don't mind a challenge, and if it helps to decide quickly and be done with it, its fine with me. Still, have to wait for them and discuss.

Ergh, I hate the fact that I'm so good at talking, and yet I can never win. All it takes is a simple bombardment of meaningless words and I'm left speechless.

Future at hand

Well, today I did a radio commercial with my friends for our college assignment. Surely enough, I'm selected to be the "voice over talent"

I was reluctant, of course, but since one of my goal is to actually be an announcer, I figured it'll be a good chance for me to actually get some exposure. So, after some test takes, I got used to it, and got pretty good at it too.

It wasn't until after a few takes until our lecturer decided to add a female into the equation to make things livelier. So yeah, a total newbie whose antennae of her car is somehow destroyed, and don't listen to radio. Not to mention she's not even interested. Too bad for her, as the only other girl is chinese educated, and I'd really not wanna work with one.

It went pretty good, after a few practices, I tried to help her improve, and she did it pretty quickly. So we did a few takes, and the final one is a whole lot better. Once we got out of the VO room, to my surprise my lecturer said I could actually be an announcer, and said that I have a pretty good voice.

So I was pretty happy with the outcome,, and this experience will prove very useful for my future job application. After submitting the completed radio commercial, we will start making a video one. Will get busy, since there's so much to do in this short semester.

The thing about driving in a heavy storm.

But before this, here's a funny scene. I was driving slowly as there's this big puddle on the road, being the considerate driver I go slow to avoid splashing water on the cars beside me. That is when a car whizzed right past me, and I "evaded" the splash, even closed my eyes, of which I should not be doing. Took me a second to realize that I'm driving in my car, so I obviously wont get wet, and obviously should not be closing my eyes.

On to the real rant.

Everyone knows that when driving in a heavy storm, the windshield and the side mirrors gets all wet and fogged up, which will deter the driver's (and other drivers) vision. What do you do to increase visibility of your vehicle and reduce the chance of an accident?

Simple, you turn on your headlights.

It wasn't until I'm halfway home until a storm started. Just before the Ampang-KL elevated highway, so I naturally turned my headlights on.

When I was just about to switch lanes, I put up my signal, just about to turn the wheel, and a retarded car whizzed right past. You guessed it, no headlights.

Is it really that hard to turn the headlights on? I mean, all you do is extend your fingers and after two clicks, voila, your lights are on.

Who gives a rat's piss about your superman vision. If you don't turn the lights on, you risk injuring yourself and other motorists, and whoever at fault is too damn obvious. Hell I can even crash my car onto yours and the fault is still yours. All I have to do is say "How am I supposed to see your car, when its so hard for you to turn the lights on?"

Seriously, I've had enough near misses while I was driving. I don't need another.

Here's a hoedown, Whose Line? style:

I was driving in a storm, I turned on the lights.
Because if I don't do so, cops gives me a fright.
If you're retarded or just in a hangover,
The thing that makes you stop, will not be a pull over.

If you need the tune to sing along, click here

Tuesday, March 10, 2009

The next step : To follow footsteps.

Recently, I've been thinking to myself ; if music is my inspiration in life, why would I not know how to actually play an instrument?

I know, I sing a lot, but that doesn't mean that I really appreciate it. If you ask me, I think I'm just taking it for granted. Hell I don't even remember what the hell are musical notes anymore.

After watching live performances by ____, I got a mixture of emotions: impressed, respect and inspiration. That is when I decided; "I want to learn how to play a guitar!"

Yes, she is my primary inspiration into learning. I've also thought of maybe actually composing my own songs, which may or may not work, I don't plan on doing it big, of course. Hey, it's better than sitting at home, and telling my significant other that all I ever do is play games.

So yeah, that is what I have planned. Hopefully I will be able to start learning during my semester break, in order to actually use my time efficiently. I don't know what my family members would think, because the cost of owning an accoustic guitar, and the lessons is of course, not cheap. But this is what I want, and it obviously have more benefits than sitting in front of the computer all day. I'm sure if I can show them my passion and patience, I will succeed.

So, if anyone of you have connections to whomever selling musical instruments, and whomever offering classes, do contact me. Your help will be very much appreciated. ;]

Another competition come and gone

Was too tired after gaming the whole day at Blitzone cyber cafe Damansara, I slept at 9.30pm as soon as I finish eating my dinner.

Anyway, it was the best gaming tournament I've ever had. Everyone is so so competitive and giving them their everything. My mates is especially competitive, we shouted in every match we played, and we had to play the most matches to reach the final stages.

We ended up in second place after a loss to another team of friends, it was tough, and we were fatigued after playing 3 matches in a row. To find out that we have to defeat them twice in order to get first place, we just thought might as well give it up (with a fight) so we can go home and rest.

So, we won RM800, which is odd since there are 6 of us. We were given a cheque this time, instead of the usual cash, so I will have to claim it, and bank into their accounts later.

Everyone was happy with their performance this time, after all, it may be a competition, but to us, its a place for us to form a greater bond of friendship.

No regrets.

So yesterday, I decided not to update about the result of the Left 4 Dead competition to simply play Dawn of War 2. I'll just do it now.

My team got 3rd place, which gave us RM400, Rm100 each, and a Portal retail pack, which all of us already have with the purchase of The Orange Box.

I have to admit, the result this time around is rather disappointing, as my team finished a campaign in an hour and 17 minutes, which we could usually have done it in an hour at most.

What's even more surprising was, a last-minute team (my friends too) cleared the game in 47 minutes, and another team of strangers did it in 41 minutes, which I find very surprising. We thought that 47 minutes was already more than enough to give them first place.

What really messed up my team was poor coordination, and friendly fire damage. I should have gathered the team for more practice session. Ah well, 3rd place is good enough for me, the RM100 is already more than half the price of the upcoming Tom Clancy's EndWar, which releases 25th February according to Steam.

According to the organizers, they will be making more competitions in the next few months, and gather the best teams for a grand finals somewhere around August, which I find very exciting.

My team has done their best, even I messed up every now and then, so I guess I am mostly at fault for not being able to lead my team to victory. We'll reclaim our throne next time. You guys are the best ;]

For now, lets do our best at the upcoming Team Fortress 2 competition this coming saturday, 28th February/

Target locked on

Tomorrow will be another competition of Left 4 Dead, this time, up to RM1000 is up for grabs. I feel anxious, nervous, but yet competitive and confident.

It will be at Blitzone Cyber Cafe at Bandar Baru Sri Petaling this time, since I don't know how to drive there, I just gotta take public transportation =/

Bought Dawn of War 2 today, a little more expensive than I thought, but it will be worth it. Whoever is interested in buying Razer equipment at pcfair this April, I have a 5% discount card that came with Dawn of War 2.

Still no news of Tom Clancy's End War, but it will definitely be coming. Pre-orders are already running at Steam and Gamestop. Hopefully it wont take too long for a retail pack, as it launches 25th February.

Gotta sleep earlier tonight, and prepare for my big shot at prize money tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Happy Valentines Day!

It's Valentines Day, to all of you happy couples out there, enjoy this day, which happen to fall on a weekend. To the rest, well, another year of being single (like me).

Alex Hooi, well, I am at home as I'm writing this, so you lost. Good day.

Nothing much has happened recently. The upcoming weeks though there will be stuff happening.

Oh, I will be going out to celebrate my old high school mate's birthday at Red Box Plus, Pavilion KL. Singing? It's totally my thing, I just hope at least some of them knows Taylor Swift, as it will be awkward singing her song alone, while the rest does nothing but watch.

Two gaming competitions, held both in Blitzone cyber cafe, located in Damansara Jaya and Bandar Baru Sri Petaling. I will be participating in both Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress 2 competitions, and will be aiming for the champion title once again.

Securing my spot on the champion's seat will net me quite an amount of cash, securing my own copy of Dawn of War 2, and a little extra for Tom Clancy's End War.

Speaking of which, where did my Left 4 Dead themed casing go? It went missing right after chinese new year cleaning.

Taylor Swift : White Horse music video premieres

Yeah, the music video for Taylor Swift's second single, White Horse, off her second album, Fearless, premiered today. I've been waiting for so long and I can finally watch it. It's so different than what I expected, but it's very amazing. Here it is:

Watch it in high quality with the handy little button at the lower right corner =)

Lyrics can be found here.

My review here, password is "review"

The first time I watched the video, I nearly _____, and I still feel the emotions every time I watch this video.

For the first time, I am not afraid to say this: I love Taylor Swift!

The video might be removed due to copyright, so if it does, do tell me and I will find a replacement. Taylor Swift <3

"Do you love me?"
"Yeah"
"Can you give me another chance?"
"No.."

Freedom, for now.

Ah, finally my examinations for my 5th semester is finished. So relieved, as the next semester will be my last for Diploma, and probably will be the most tiring, but yet enjoyable one.

Valentines is near, and I have nowhere to go and nothing to do. *Hint hint*

Less than a month away from the release of Tom Clancy's EndWar for Windows.

My favorite artist is still Taylor Swift ;D

I want a new phone! W910 is my target ;]

Should I get a proper gaming mousepad?

Nothing else to talk about, maybe I'll start ending my posts with some catchphrases from now on. Meanwhile, enjoy this great live performance by Taylor Swift, the song is White Horse =D

I love this song so much, maybe because I can relate to it. Thinking about making my own rendition of it, but don't expect to see me singing it and making a video from that.

Happy Chinese New Year!

Ah, its that time of the year again. The first day of Chinese New Year, which is always the busiest, but happiest day. Getting together with friends and family feels so great.

Probably will be driving to grandma's place later, but heck, more Red Packets xD

I've been listening old songs from returning singers/bands again (Westlife, Michael Learns To Rock, Boyzone, Take That), and I gotta say, it's pretty nostalgic. Just remembering how I used to like the songs so much made me wonder how could I possibly forgot about the songs.

Added yet another single from Taylor Swift: Fearless and White Horse

Fearless is a very good song. Motivational as well. The lyrics, in my opinion, inspires people to find love. I had this song on repeat while gaming, and I got so motivated, I topped the scoreboard. Cool!

White Horse, however, is a more emotional song. It is assumed that she wrote this song about her breakup. Nevertheless, this song is a very touching and heart-warming song. This is definitely the song if anyone ever feels down.

No, I don't suggest people to listen to "happier" songs when they feel depressed. I personally believe that it is better to let time heal the wounds, instead of forcing ourselves out of them. I had experienced these before, and I find it to be more soothing to let the music we are listening to matches our current mood.

No Idea

First half of my examination has now ended, and there's less than a week until Chinese New Year comes. Bless the college for seperating the examination into 2 parts, before and after CNY, making students study during a celebration.

Nothing much has happened the past week besides exams and studies.

Things for me to look forward to:-

-New Year Money!
-Left 4 Dead Tournament (Unconfirmed)
-New semester, campaign production
-Tom Clancy's EndWar
-Find a _______

A bunch of new things.

Yeah, I really have bought or gotten myself a lot of new stuff, especially games.

Firstly will be Audiosurf, a fun music game where we can choose to use our own songs to play with.

Then there's DJMax Black Square, a music game similar to O2Jam, for my PSP. It is much more harder than the previous version.

Then the best one I've gotten among these, Grand Theft Auto IV (GTA4). Costed me RM180, but it is totally worth it. The graphics totally outmatches all my other games, even on medium setting. I couldn't play it on high because my rig is not powerful enough, even the game doesn't allow me to. This is a really great game, of course not for the minors, as it is rated-R.

I've also added some new songs into my playlist, my favourite has gotta be White Horse by Taylor Swift.

I know, she's just amazing. The way she's gotten so famous in such a short amount of time is very inspiring, and that is why she is currently my favorite artist.

Here are some singles which I find very good to listen:

Taylor Swift - White Horse
John Mayer - Say
The Script - The Man Who Can't Be Moved

Decisions, decisions!

I saw a window of opportunity,
I have given all I could,
It was to no avail,
As taken more initiatives, she should.

As she sat there, sobbing,
I wondered what I should do,
I was given two choices,
Both were painful to choose.

I chose to be a coward,
As I know for sure,
Although I choose to be brave,
I may not be her cure.

Home I went, thinking,
Have I chosen the wrong way?
I have regrets in me,
For not saying, what I really want to say.
