Professionals have standards.

Well, replacing the Mass Media Law lecture today is the talk about self image. It has never occurred to me that physical appearance plays such a role in a job interview, and dressing for the occasion is not as easy at it seems too.

I can say I learned something new I guess, first impressions is what tells the interviewer the most about us. Can't say my effort of going to the lecture is wasted =)

Remind me to join a professional company next time. Women look extremely beautiful in business formal attire. =P

...and life goes on.

It has been pretty boring with practically nothing to do, aside from some of my coursework which had to be done, but that isn't much. It's been over a week since the threats I received and I have yet to see anything happen. Perhaps my conclusion is right, they can't do shit. I might make this blog public again, hopefully, as some of my readers have difficulty gaining access for some reason.

I've got the latest single from David Archuleta, the 1st runner up of American Idol. It's titled Crush, and the 17 year old boy can really sing. It's a good song, I recommend it for everyone. After listening to this song, I wondered who is the true American Idol. =X

The countdown to Left 4 Dead global release goes on, with 30 days remaining. As the waiting continues, I did some research using only gameplay videos, and it proved to be very helpful. Who would have imagined that even such short clips would contain that much information. I have also created my own team just for this upcoming game, and membership will be handpicked. The reason is because I do not want just anyone that play the game to be a member, which will easily flood the group with a bunch of people that just plays for fun. The objective of this group is to play it like how it should be played, instead of gaining attention of a boss enemy for the sake of an achievement.

As if my problems are not enough...

So I've decided to make my blog private, only readers whom I have invited will be allowed to view it. I did not want to take such drastic measures, but I simply can't take it any longer.

There's been a random idiot who showed up and has somehow, showed hatred towards me, be it in comments or chatbox. This random guy have been sending hate messages through those means, and refuses to reveal himself, until I finally took action and insulted him.

Guess what, he revealed some information alright, apparently he's pretty close to my college, a student of my college would be highly possible too. He's been sending threatening messages ever since. Somehow, he knows who I am, and I have narrowed down my suspects into one of those in my own course. Since I do not know who did I "piss off", which I apparently did to "many people", I came to a conclusion that he weren't from my course after all. I am not close to some of my coursemates I dislike, everyone I dislike for that matter, which I would barely have any contact with, which makes me wonder how could I possibly piss anyone off.

Mr. Anonymous, known only as "BBoy" has threatened to damage my current mean of transport to college, which is my brother's car. Another random guy, known only as "Booyahz" also threatened to somehow find me in college to "settle" me. After some research using my position as the blog admin, I found that these 2 random guys posted the threat messages with the same IP address, which made me conclude: they are possibly thugs in Cyber Cafes.

He seems to be so tough. Apparently, its between him, me and HIS friends, and said that MY friends should get out of the way. What kind of people could I have possibly pissed off? I've been trying to figure this out but I can't seem to think of any. My contacts in college are...only restricted to my own course.

Could whoever the guy(s) be are anyone in my own course after all? It's a mystery, really. I'm not that dumb to actually show up in the place he said to find him. If he wants me, he should come and look for me. Oh yes, I will definitely remember to bring my trusty weapon of self defense, the Balisong, to college everyday from now on. Until I confirmed that I'm safe, or I finds out who that shitbag is, I will not stop doing so, even if I risk being arrested by cops for carrying a weapon.

So, with that said, I would like to say that I regret not making this blog private much earlier. To the readers I trusted, do not be afraid to do what you had to do for your own safety and privacy. Internet harrassment is a common thing these days and I have just fallen victim to it. Do not do such a mistake like I did.

Update: Reached another conclusion. The reason why the random hater knew so much about me is very simple and obvious. He figured out my name from my nick "allenaw88", but did he mention my full name? No. He knows I drive a car, but did he mention the license number? No. He knows I own a knife, but was it correct? No either. All these little information are gained through my previous posts, and it will not be enough. Yeah sure, I have posted my picture and he knows how I look, sadly, I will be with my friends more, much more often from now. Besides, what can they possibly do in college grounds? Epic fail.

This blog is left dead...NOT!

Never realized I have not updated for over a week, definitely due to some new games I bought and downloaded into my computer =P

Nothing really interesting happened, aside from the commencement of a new semester in my college. Apparently the lecturer for my Drama (Yes, drama) class is a very strict one. Since I decided not to show up for the first lecture, I got some info out of my coursemates. It appears that attendance is taken during the very first lecture (attendance is usually not taken in lectures), of which a lot of people, myself included, did not turn up. My name is the first to be called, darn it, I don't like being on top of the list. Okay then since she's so strict about attendance, I shall see how she does in another important aspect which is punctuality.

There's a bloody lecture in...about 4 and a half hours, and here I am blogging. It's a freaking lecture too, of which the lecturer decided not to show up when I did. Feel so lazy to attend since there is practically nothing for me to do once the lecture finishes. The bloody office staff is doing such a horrible work in preparing the timetable, sucks.

I've recently watched a gameplay video of a highly anticipated survival horror game from Valve, Left 4 Dead. It included commentary from the game developer himself, playing with some other people during an event. I can't help but drool over it because it is simply magnificent. The gameplay, the graphics, the physics, everything. This is possibly the only one game where you can never think to complete alone. Teamwork is essential, and you need to be understanding, calm, resourceful and analytical. Thanks to the AI "Director" in the game, players will never know what to expect. Although the architecture will be the same, enemies will not appear the same place twice, or at least will be different every time you play. The Director will also adjust the difficulty level according to the current team situation, if the team is plowing through the level, it will add more enemies, even bosses, into the round. If the team is low on health and ammunition, it will reduce the enemies instead.

You might think this is a typical survival horror game which you can clear with a lot of firepower, but you will be proven wrong. The enemies are not walking corpses, they are merely humans infected with some virus, making them practically mindless and hostile towards any normal human. They can climb walls, and instead of walking slowly, they charge at players as fast as they can once spotted.

Left 4 Dead is scheduled to release November 19th in US, and 21st the rest of the world. More updates about it coming soon. I expect a lot from this game, and I would not mind spending money for it.

It's a love story, baby just say yes.

Since I have left this blog pretty much dead for a week, and I refuse to let it stay this way any longer, here's a short post about Taylor Swift, a young country pop artist from Tennessee.

Talk about her new single, Love Story, from my point of view, it's about the challenges a couple have to face before finally able to be together. The father of the girl would not let any guys to see his daughter, and she fell in love with a guy, which in the song, referred to "Romeo" and "Juliet" respectively."See you make your way through the crowd and say hello, little did I know..."

Since her father doesn't let her see anyone, she sneaked out of her home, just to see the one she loves."...that you were Romeo you were throwing pebbles, and my daddy said stay away from Juliet"

She waited outside her home, waiting for him to show up."Marry me Juliet you never have to be alone, I love you and that's all I really know"

He showed up, and they were together, the expression on their faces clearly shows that they love each other."We were both young when I first saw you"

The lyrics of this song are very meaningful. The song itself has a big plot, packed into a short 4 minute song. The music video is simply beautiful, Taylor never looked any better, in that outfit, she looks just like a princess,or Juliet.

Don't forget to check out the music video of her latest single, as well as her other songs on GAC.
