The Orange Box Party, Subang Parade, 7th June

So today I went to Subang Parade for The Orange Box Party, as a participant of the Team Fortress 2 Tournament, along with 11 other friends, and we are divided into 2 teams. Got there pretty early, 9.30, to report ourselves in, some late idiots makes the officials to delay the draft for about half an hour. Tough luck, both of the team captains drafted us to compete against one another in the first round. It's not all bad, my team defeated team B and they can still continue playing in the losers bracket, who knows, they might even bag the champion price.

After defeating our fellow comrades, we proceeded to the winners bracket, facing a random team named GAV, and they wanted to do it right after our match. We were tired and worn out after the intense battle with our much improved comrades, we decided to take an hour rest. Got a little lunch at McD's and returned to the tournament area, waiting for the competing teams to finish.

Its finally our turn, I was so nervous because this was my first time competing against a total stranger. We prepared our gears, warmed up for a while, and somehow the opposing team doesn't seem to be that good. I thought they were just acting, but it turns out they really are not that good, as we defeated them with a shutout. We advanced to the winners bracket finals, against team Khz. They are very good, though we did manage to defeat them, they did the same, so we proceeded into the stopwatch mode. We lost because we were too slow.

So, my team are now in the finals of the losers bracket, and our opponents will be determined tomorrow, it could be team B, as they are still in the game, but they will be facing another tough opponents tomorrow. If all goes well, my team will face off against Khz again in the grand finals, which I hope will turn out better than today.

I'm not satisfied with this loss to be honest. Word on the streets is that they imported better players which does not belong to the original team. Even when they imported players, they only barely managed to defeat us. I have to say I'm really proud of myself for reaching this far on my first ever tournament. Everyone was great, and I just want them to know that whatever the outcome will be tomorrow, we will not give up, keep improving ourselves and do better next time. Glory LYN++

On the note, thanks for coming to support me and my team today, really appreciate it, you know who you are =)

Yeah, we may also see a new member of LYN++ soon. ;)
